Coastal Transportation is a U.S. flag marine transportation company offering scheduled, palletized cargo service between Seattle and Western Alaska, including the Aleutian Islands and Alaska Peninsula.
Coastal operates a fleet of cargo vessels averaging 200 feet in length with hold capacities averaging 70,000 cubic feet. All vessels are self-sustaining, allowing the flexibility to perform cargo operations both in remote Alaskan ports and alongside other vessels at sea. We offer weekly scheduled departures except fortnightly during late November and the month of December.
Coastal operates cargo terminals in Seattle, Washington and Dutch Harbor, Alaska. Both facilities are capable of accommodating vessels up to 400 feet in length and 20 feet in draft. In Seattle, we offer connecting service, both domestic and worldwide, via container, truck and railcar.
In addition to our Alaskan service, Coastal Transportation serves other areas of the world on a charter basis for specialized cargoes requiring a dedicated U.S. flag vessel.
Our goal is to be the best provider of transportation services in our class by providing high-quality, dependable, on-time service to our customers.
